Clary to transform a blank concrete panel on South Blvd into a wall of wide-eyed faces from his “No Elbows” series.
Cellar Door Creative has some fresh public art on the horizon. Studio founder Jason Clary was just selected as one of ten artists for the 2025 Oak Park Mini Mural Project. His winning concept, “Neighborhood Watch”, pulls a crowd of quirky, square-faced characters from his ongoing NO ELBOWS doodle-a-day series.
The mural site sits on South Boulevard near Kenilworth Ave, just below the Green Line tracks. Painting kicks off in August.
The project is funded by the Oak Park Area Arts Council (OPAAC), which continues to champion public art throughout the village.
Follow the Process
I’ll post behind-the-scenes shots, time-lapse videos, and paint-splattered anecdotes on Instagram @noelbowsstudio (link) and in our Stories. Drop by the site, say hello, and watch “Neighborhood Watch” come to life.
